I remember the Pappy that adored his wife, broke into his Scottish songs, handed out sweeties to break the boredom of long Presby sermons, wore his kilt whenever he could and loved me. I cannot begin to fathom what memories must have tormented his mind, or how many of his friends were killed. As I walked the hills of Scotland with MY Dad, watched his emotional response to seeing his parents honoured in their homeland, I salute the Man and Pappy that i knew and loved.

Thank you for this insight into his life, Andy. In all his brokenness he left a heritage through our Dad which is strong and invaluable.

went there when i was 15,i have gone to so many camps after that. but nothing beats the experience i had in that camp. the spirit that hoovers in that erea is somthing phenominal.every time i think abt it some builds inside my belly nd its going to be ten years this december.camp shalom rocks.

The fact that Fitzsimon’s uses his media position to attempt to belittle believers at any chance shows just how small minded he is. If he is so confident in his belief in nothing why spend so much time and effort having a go at those with a different belief to his? The answer, he is just like the school yard bully, picking on what he sees as an easy target and actually in the end being nothing more than a coward.

The more he uses his newspaper columns to “have a go”, the more he looks like a desperate atheist trying to convince himself of his own opinion.
